Overview of MBBS Course

MBBS is a specialized set of two degrees that is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MBBS Degree is awarded upon the completion of medical education from an institution dedicated to its learning. MBBS in India is the most prominent and prestigious career option which students prefer after completion of higher secondary or class 12. To get admission into MBBS course an aspirant must qualify NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) entrance exam which is conducted by NTA (national Testing Agency). For a candidate to gain entrance into a medical college:

  1. He/she must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admissions and not more than 25 (unless specified).
  2. Candidate must pass senior secondary or  Class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology for General Category and 40% for the reserved category (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe) respectively.
  3. Candidate must pass the qualifying Exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NTA.
